looking for comedies of a certain genre?
so, i love comedies of all types. recently however, i found out that i am lucky enough to have a girlfriend who likes a certain subset of comedies specifically. problem is i don’t know what to call this genre, nor what other movies of this type that are out there.
movies like superbad or the hangover (maybe even ghost of girlfriend’s past, pineapple express, or even tropic thunder) belong to this genre; silly movies that are a few steps removed from movies like airplane, caddyshack, blues brothers, or even reno 911 (which are closer to my favorite comedies). anyway, i was wondering if anyone could offer up some suggestions as to movies my girlfriend and i could watch in the superbad/hangover category; it would really save me the torture of having to watch anothre movie from her beloved movie genre ie. romantic comedies. thanks
